I said YES on April 16, 2010...
The weekend of April 16th, we went to San Antonio to get away for Cody's birthday. The first night we walked around the Riverwalk and ate outside at a Mexican restaurant. It was a beautiful night so we spent the majority of the night walking around and enjoying the scenery. We found a perfect spot with lit-up fountains and a beautiful church. Cody became very lovey-dovey as we sat in front of the church watching the fountains. He seemed nervous and I'll admit it was a little awkward so I felt like something might be happening soon. On the way back to our hotel, Cody decided he wanted to take a horse-drawn carriage ride. He had told me before the trip he really wanted to so i didn't think anything of it. The carriage driver showed us around downtown San Antonio and shared some history. When the carriage came to a stop by the Alamo, we had our picture taken standing by the beautiful white horse. Then, I wanted a picture back in the carriage. After we sat down and took a picture, Cody asked if they could take one more picture and announced I was his girlfriend of two years. He reached in his pocket and got down on one knee. I immediately started bawling and when he asked me to be his wife I responded with a quiet yes! The guy taking the picture said "let's hear that yes again" so this time i said YES! White horse-drawn carriage, a gorgeous sparkly ring, and my handsome prince charming...couldn't ask for a better proposal!
